Contact: Kim Novick
Sponsor: GPSC Community Outreach Committee
Where: Downtown Durham
Why: The Troika music festival is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run music festival celebrating local, independent music. This year's festival features an impressive line-up headlined by the Bowerbirds, the Love Language, and Megafaun. Volunteers are needed to take tickets in flexible three hours shifts during the festival's evening performances. Volunteers are also needed during daytime hours on Saturday, November 7th to facilitate operations at Troika's "Rock, Paper, Scissors" event -- an arts, crafts, and music marketplace. More information about the festival is available at www.troikamusicfestival.org, and interested volunteers should contact Kim Novick (kan2@duke.edu) for more details.
