The purpose of GPSC group funding is to support events that enhance the educational experience of graduate and professional students by promoting educational, cultural, and social interactions. Events which may be considered for GPSC funding include (but are not limited to) charity work, community service, speakers, journals, cultural presentations, discussions, and social events that are open to all graduate and professional students. Priority for funding will be given to those events that impact a high number of Duke graduate/professional students, are multi-disciplinary, and are held on campus. Priority will also be given to events that are scheduled to occur in the current funding cycle.
Events and items that will not be considered for funding include (but, again, are not limited to) scholarships, individual stipends, travel expenses to or from an event, and food for social events. Events that have already occurred or are scheduled to occur in a future funding cycle may be considered by special arrangement with the Finance Committee.
